More of Year End Parties

Christmas day dinner with Grandpa, Lily and Teck Wee. Seafood! Yummy! We went to church after dinner and Chloe got so excited over the nativity.

Shyan pointing for Jae to come over. A group of very contented and happy people with tummy filled with seafood. Chloe having her dessert of 'thumb sucking'.

At Novena Church. Chloe going goo-goo-gaa-gaa over the styrofoam sheeps. She keeps pointing and calling out at them, hoping to get a respond from those guys.

So persistent that she refuses to leave. When the sheep did not move, she turned to me for help. Ahem.... baby, these are not the same ones from the zoo.

The year before, we took a picture in front of the nativity too and Chloe was just a tiny bundle, all wrapped up and in a sling, she was just 2 months old then. And now, she's 14 months, ready to take the sheep for a ride.

Ah.... finally, after so long. Our lunch at Whitebait & Kale.

Sera! Look at how much she has grown! She can dance, say simple words and make animal sounds, gosh... that's really adorable. And she's very good at ripping off present wrappers.

Chloe unwrapping her present from Desiree. Actually she is more interested in the wrapper than the present. I guess she still does not get the idea of presents yet.

Simon taking out a piece of wrapper from Chloe's mouth. Sera checking out her present.

Happy Birthday Johan! A nice little yummy chocolate cake topped with ice-cream for the birthday boy. Sera not bothered with all the hoo-haa around her, just waiting to blow the candle.

A little boogie outside the restaurant. Sera dancing with Desiree to the pipe-in music while Chloe watched.

Two is a company.

Christmas Party

Christmas party 2007! It's the season for feasting and drinking again. Lots of good food along with great wine and champagne from Henry. Not forgetting the presents we got and of course the one with the biggest and fullest stocking is Chloe. Thanks guys! :)

4 'big' girls and a baby girl ( I shall refrain from using the word 'old')

A bubbly Von and super happy Kat flashing a 'double victory' sign

Check out the presents under the tree

Chloe dancing with Von

'Sprout... sprout... your hair will grow really fast after my magic touch.'

Chloe getting very impatient with all the waiting. Yah! Why must we wait till midnight?! I want to unwrap my presents now.

Well, she did get her wish cos right after this, we decided that she will be the first to unwrap all her presents.

Getting a little help from mommy

Ta-dah! A phone.

Now, it's time for the enormous present from Von and Kat. Let's see what in it...

Still unwrapping or rather ripping. Getting lots of encouragement from the audience.

Wow! It's a rocking horse! And this guy rocks, his mouth and tail move when you press a button in his ear and he neighs at the same time too.

Victoria's Secret latest model? Chloe modeling Lay Har's lingerie

'Fly me to the moon...' Having a swinging good time with Henry.

The First Of The Many Parties

The babies day out! Their day, their party.

We kick start our many holiday parties with a zoo trip follow by a yummy tim sum lunch. So glad to have great weather after so many gloomy and rainy days.

Touring the zoo on the tram.

At the children zoo. Having fun on the play structure. Chloe does not like to be put on the slide, she wants to do it the right way. Which is to climb up the steps, across the bridge, up the platform and down the slide.

Swing! I think this is the first time Chloe gets on a swing. All the playground we visited have no swings or are not suitable for her. She loves it! (Hmm... this reminds me that I have a Little Tikes swing sitting in the storeroom. Handyman?!)

And of course a picture with the grand old dame, Ah Meng.

Chloe giving Ah Meng a warm hand shake.

Walking real fast to the restaurant... Hungry! Hungry!

The big Christmas tree at the lift lobby.

Chloe trying to hug and kiss Cranston

Cranston trying ways and means to get away from Chloe.

After tucking in to a delicious lunch, it is picture time. Amazing huh? We managed to get everyone to look at the camera all at the same time.

Just Chloe...

I can't think of any appropriate title so 'Just Chloe' and these are just some of the adorable, naughty and sweet acts she is capable of.

Rise and shine! I was trying to snap a picture of her standing behind the day curtains, playing peek-a-boo with me, she sat down and decided that this is a better angle to capture her instead. Too bad the photographer did not do a good job. :(

When everything is so quiet and peaceful, it is best to look and check what is going on, as it is always so calm before a storm. Little typhoon at work! Pulling my stuff from the wardrobe. She pull a piece out, gave it a glance before tossing it aside. Nothing met her approval in the end cos she emptied a quarter of the stuff on bottom shelf.

I was more amused than angry when I caught her messing up my wardrobe. We or rather I had a good time arranging everything back. (Gosh! I have so much junk.)

So while I was arranging the clothing, she has made her way to the toilet. She took out her diaper one by one, then the dirty laundry. This time round she put the diapers back in the box by herself. She must have sensed that she better do so before she makes it into the 'Naughty List' for Christmas.

Chloe's latest fun time. She likes all the toilets in the house. The shower screen, the shower hose, the toiletries but the one thing she will always go for - the toilet roll holder.

She will flipped the holder up and pull the papers before taking the whole roll out. The first time she did it, I was so amused though I knew it was a waste. What the heck! She was so thrilled and happy when the trail of paper came off. And hey, I can still put the papers to good use elsewhere, right?

So loving! Chloe is so in love with Sunny. One morning, I was asking Sunny to sit so that she can pat him. This picture I took she was trying to imitate what I did. She just stood there and looked at Sunny very seriously, started pointing at him and said 'Ar, ar!' And Sunny sat down!

In her own baby way, she managed to make Sunny sit down for her to pat.

Get Dressed

Girls like pretty dresses and Chloe is no exception.

She took this pink checkered dress off the rack and handed it to me. Thinking that she wanted to play with the hanger, I took the dress off and gave her the hanger instead. She dropped the hanger and picked up the dress pushing it to me making wild gestures with excited baby babbling. Okay, I got it! 'You want to wear this now?' When I pull it over her head, she was all smiles. And she did want to play with the hanger.

So happy to pose for a picture in her dress... not forgetting her hanger too.

Leisure Walks

This is the playground near our house, it is just a 2 minutes walk there. When I first started bringing Chloe for walks, she was in the sling. Later on, she started enjoying her walk to the park in the stroller and now she walks there. Amazing, how fast she has grown.

9a.m. we have the whole park to ourselves, apart from 2 dogs, there are no big kids stomping on the play structure. She walked the whole perimeter of the park swinging her arms. So happy, so carefree...

Being very environment friendly. Chloe is picking up the leaves on the ground, she is holding a few leaves and a twig. She looked very excited as one of the big dog is coming closer to her and she too started walking towards the dog with outstretched hands. At this point, I have to grab her before asking if it is fine for Chloe to pat him.

The shaky and bouncy snail which she loves to ride.

Not forgetting her favorite slide and the see-saw too. The see-saw is an ab work-out for me, I've got to hold her on one end and lift the whole metal bar up and down. Definitely killing 2 birds with 1 stone. And she is no longer contented on being put on the slide to slide down, she wants to do it the right way ever since she saw her friends doing it. And that is to go up the steps, across the little bridge, up the platform before sliding down. There are 3 slides of different height and she has to choose the tallest one every time.

Hot Dog! Hot Dog!

This is the video that makes Chloe smile, squeal, dance, clap and do little Hawaiian dance hand movement (the hand movement, not the hips swaying). She loves the catchy tune. My sister forward me the link few days ago and she is hooked.

Happy Feet

Pitter... patter... pitter... patter...

Ever since Chloe knows how to walk, she is everywhere; nothing is going to stop her. She is looking at the world from a different perspective. Little taller, looking a little further.

I realized how much she has grown these 3 months when I was wiping the T.V. console. The teeth marks she left on the edge of the console, yes she is a beaver, and she grinds the wood laminate and left a row of marks. I watched her standing there today, putting her little hands on the edge for support, kicking her water bottle around and saw that there is a gap now between her lips and the console. In fact, her chin is above the console now. Simon said it is about 3.5 cm.

We have not measured or weighed her properly for a while but I know she now stands up to my groin and weighs more than a sack of rice or heavier than Sunny for sure.

She grabs the giggling Elmo and ran off with him.

Deliberately walking away from papa. She swung her arms and swept Simon's hand off when he wanted to hold her. I'm taking this shot while enjoying my ice-blended green tea at Starbuck, let them sort it out. :p

Slurping udon later on at Sushi Tei. Chloe will have the strand of udon in her mouth with part of it dangling out and start to slurp and chew it. They can 'play' this udon game for 20 minutes with intervals.

Marathon

The one most happening and long awaited event I've been looking forward to for a whole year. Nay, it's not Zouk Out. It is the Singapore Marathon! Running the whole 42.195km excites me, it makes my heart beats faster just thinking about it.

Along the way, there were many supporters who cheered, waved and hi-fives the runners. There was a lady giving out chocolate, little kids holding out bananas and the school bands playing music for the runners.

The last 5 km was a killer. My legs are so numb; I thought they might just disintegrate. But the thought of my 2 darlings at the finishing line gave me the final burst of energy. The thought of seeing Chloe's smile when I wore the medal for her and the thought of her baking in the sun while waiting for me just make me run faster.

We have to escape from the blazing sun so no photos at the finishing line. The red umbrella? I put that in her baby bag, anticipating a very sunny day. Uh-hum, mummies thought of everything yah. :)

Chloe looking every bit the happy champion.

Carbo loading at Starbucks. Baby bites biscuits.

The no-sweat 10km runner, erm no, walker.
