Mozart For A Day

We spent Sunday afternoon at the National Museum with Sera, Desiree and Johan. We attended a workshop 'Mozart: The Child Prodigy' and the exhibition which brought us back to the 18th century. And before that, the girls were having fun at the interactive 'Murmur Playground'. Well, the museum does not necessary have to be a very serious place meant for grown ups, the young ones have a share of culture too, how nice is that

This red gigantic statue greeted us at the entrance, he is huge! I think he's name is 'David'.

Simon and Chloe plunging into the pile of cushions at Murmur playground

This is definitely something Chloe is very good at, knocking on pots and pans. She ransacks my kitchen drawers for ladles or spatulas and will cook up a storm in the drawer.

Drawing their masterpiece together

Chloe trying out all the different puppets at the workshop

2 very focus girls watching the guys singing and strumming the guitar

And this, the Mozart impostor, introducing and taking them to the world of Mozart

To enter Mozart's world, the key is not know how to play the piano but how to stick the curls and ponytail onto the paper wig and become mini-Mozarts. See, you have to look like him to be in the crowd.

Voila! My child prodigy of the 21st century.

Now, trying on a real wig which is too big for her. I was ready to stuff her into the costume but too bad, they do not have her size and she is not very thrill with the idea. Ok, it's all for photo taking sake. Cosplay.

Writing with quill and ink.

Playing with toys kids played in that era. So green, all are wooden toys, even the dolls. Hmm... plastic is not invented yet, I guess.

Having lots of fun trying out all the different toys scattered around the play area

The horse carriage. 18th century meets 21st century, there is a flat screen T.V. in this horse carriage.

We had dinner at Shokudo, a Marche concept Japanese restaurant and the fun continues after that. This interactive video games reflected on the floor keeps the 2 of them entertained for so long, just stomping away at pop corns, cars and balls.
